Question:

Triaged very quickly, followed by professional, swift, kind treatment from Dr Lofthouse. Thank you. Only thing already flagged up to reception is need to update APCOS list - i was given link to one where nearest APCOS centre was in Tonbridge - the later 2024 list (which the Tonbridge APCOS provider emailed to me and which i've now forwarded to your reception team) details. APCOS centres in both Southborough and Tunbridge Wells

I saw a nurse on Monday morning, 19 May 2025. She was involved in dealing urgently with a patient before my appointment. The situation must have been extremely stressful for her, but she took time to explain the delay in our appointments to me and another person waiting to see her. When she was free to meet me, she was fully focussed on our appointment. If I hadn't known she had coped with an emergency beforehand, I would never have imagined it. She gave me helpful advice during the appointment. I came away thinking that her calmness and professionalism had been remarkable.

On Monday morning, 12 My 2025, i spoke to a helpful receptionist at Grosvenor and then saw Ms Neve Hemsley, who was very friendly and extremely efficient. She took some blood (DMARD) without my experiencing any discomfort at all, and she was a pleasure to talk with. There is nothing about my visit to your surgery that I would have wanted you to do differently. My thanks for making everything so quick and easy for me.

Dr was running 40 minutes late. As soon as we mentioned the reason to attend, Dr told us there was nothing they can do and we shouldn’t have been offered an appointment. Dr didn’t look at the issue or take triage photos sent in previously into consideration. Felt rushed and that our issue wasn’t important enough to be seen.

At my annual blood pressure check I was nervous, but the professional, cheerful, HCA checked it carefully and I had the wonderful news that - despite being under stress from different reasons (neither of which applied to my appointment that day) - my b.p. was a very good/low figure, 126/something. I was delighted and left the surgery smiling!
